Darshana TV is the first satellite television from Malabar. Based in Kozhikode, this is the fruition of a long standing dream. Darshana is a non news and currend affairs Channel.
Though there are plenty of television channels that cater to the Malayali population, it is true that most of them keep churning out the same fare and thus reduce television viewing to a mind-numbing experience.
The need of the hour had been and has been a television channel that provides whole some entertainment and knowledge, without compromising on the basic tenants of values on which any civilized society rests. Darshana TV is an attempt to reach up to the idealistic standards in television. Values like compassion and a deep respect for Nature in all its pristine purity are part of the core Vision of thr channel.
DARSHANA TV Got licence from the Ministry of Information and broadcasting under Govt of India on 21st June 2010 and officially inaugurated its corporate office and studio complex 6th November 2010 and after 14 months, on 1st January 2012,it officially launched.DARSHANA TV has its corporate office in Nadakavu, Calicut in the state of Kerala and also bureaus at Cochin, Trivandrum and New Delhi in india. And also it has its facilities. In addition to training, around 20 percent of the revenue is spend upon its R&D center like the DARSHANA School of Media and Research at Calicut.
